We are priviledged enough to make the acquaintance of T'Pau, an important Vulcan dignitary who was the only person to ever refuse a seat in the Federation Council. McCoy and Kirk have a short discussion about that in Amok Time and they imply that Spock's family is more influential than they previously thought - thereby suggesting that T'Pau belongs to it. Besides, T'Pau's got smooth-chested, almost-gagged guards. She's obviously important!

There is, of course, the Sybok question. In the fifth film, The Final Frontier, which most people feel is the worst of the whole series, Sybok appears - and dies. So far, no mention had ever been made of the existence of any siblings, and Gene Roddenberry himself said it was not canon - but maybe he thought it was too bad a film... Still, Spock's half-brother exists, and the fact that no one ever heard about him before or after is explained by his having been exiled from Vulcan and declared a taboo topic.
